Where are EA backup codes?
EA backup codes are managed from the Security & Privacy area of your EA Account. EA says that after two-factor authentication is set up, you can select View backup codes and keep the codes somewhere safe.
If you are completing an XP247 FC 27 coin order, the account-verification step currently asks for three unused EA backup codes alongside the EA account email and password.
The codes belong to the EA Account you are currently viewing. If you use more than one EA Account, check that it is the account linked to the FC 27 club receiving the coins.
How to find EA backup codes
Sign in to your EA Account and open the Security & Privacy settings page.
Scroll down until you see the Two-factor authentication section.
If two-factor authentication is already enabled, choose the option to view your backup codes. EA may ask you to verify your identity before showing security information.
For an XP247 FC 27 account check, have three unused backup codes ready and enter them exactly as shown on your EA Account.
Go back to the account-verification stage of your paid order and enter the requested EA details and backup codes.
What if two-factor authentication is turned off?
If the Two-factor authentication section shows that 2FA is not enabled, EA's current process is to select Turn On, choose Email, Authenticator app or Text Message, then verify the setup with the code EA sends you.
After 2FA has been set up, EA says you can select View backup codes. Keep any codes you are not using somewhere secure.
What if you cannot see your backup codes?
Keep backup codes private
Backup codes are security credentials. EA advises users not to share login information, passwords or verification codes. Only enter them when you intentionally start an account-verification step.
XP247 will never ask you to post backup codes publicly or send them through social media. During the coin-delivery flow, use the secure fields shown inside your paid order.
