When is FC 27 Ones to Watch live?
EA says Season 1: Ones to Watch runs from 17 September to 22 October 2026. It is the opening Season theme and connects into Destined for Glory and Future Stars.
The important difference is where the cards come from. EA says OTW Player Items can be earned through the Season Pass, with selected players also available through SBCs and Objectives from Early Access.
How OTW upgrades work
- OTW items rated 83 OVR or higher keep their Base Item Attributes.
- OTW items below 83 are boosted to 83 OVR.
- Every OTW item is guaranteed at least 60 Pace and all Role++ in position.
- A player receives +1 OVR for each Team of the Week, Star Performer or Player of the Month inclusion.
- There is a one-time +1 OVR bonus if the player's club wins three of its next six domestic league matches after 18 September.
What should you actually watch?
Because these are live items, real football matters. A strong transfer to a club expected to win regularly can make the six-match team bonus relevant, while individual form can drive TOTW or other performance-based upgrades.
Do not value an OTW card only by its launch rating. Look at the player's real-world role, club fixtures and likelihood of starting.
