1. More rewards are tradeable
EA says a significantly higher proportion of FC 27 rewards across Objectives, modes and other areas of Ultimate Team will be tradeable. That gives players more flexibility to sell rewards and redirect value into the squad they actually want.
2. Streamlined SBCs use Item Score
Some SBCs now let you submit eligible Items toward a score over multiple submissions instead of always building a traditional full squad. Item Score is based on OVR, rarity and Holographic status.
3. Gallery remembers items you have earned
Gallery Sets record eligible Player Items you collect. EA says an item can remain relevant to future Sets even after it leaves your Club, with more than 100 Sets planned at launch.
4. Holographic items add another rarity layer
Eligible Campaign, TOTW, Hero, ICON and other special Player Items can appear as Holographic versions. Higher-rated eligible items can appear as Pristine Holographics.
5. ICON and Hero Chemistry has changed
ICONs still receive full Chemistry in position and provide a +1 League link to every League, but their Nation contribution drops from +2 to +1. Heroes keep full Chemistry in position, while their League contribution falls from +2 to +1.
6. Evolutions are intended to be more deliberate
EA says Evolutions will appear at a lower frequency and at more intentional moments, with more tailored progression paths. Training Camp Evolutions are expanding to help lower-rated players begin an Evo journey.
7. Ones to Watch leads Season 1
Season 1 is built around Ones to Watch, with earnable OTW items through the Season Pass and selected SBCs and Objectives. Live upgrades can continue through the real football season.
8. Community voting now affects early TOTW squads
During Season 1, community voting helps shape one player item in each of the first six Team of the Week squads. EA opens a new voting period each Tuesday and closes it the following Monday.
