Raphinha's September LaLiga Player of the Month item is now available in FC 27 Ultimate Team. The special card is 89 OVR and is currently one of the most expensive early-cycle SBC decisions.

FUT.GG's live SBC page currently puts the headline cost at about 1.3 million Coins, with the cheapest calculated route moving around the 1.2 million mark. Those numbers will move as fodder prices change, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a fixed completion price.

• 89 OVR with 92 Pace, 87 Shooting, 86 Passing, 88 Dribbling, 55 Defending and 77 Physical.
• Primary position: ST.
• Alternative positions include RM, LM, CAM, RW and LW.

Why the card is so attractive

The biggest strength is flexibility. Raphinha can start centrally or wide and gives you enough position coverage to move him around when changing formation in-game.

92 Pace, strong attacking positioning and 89 Finishing make him immediately usable as a forward, while the 86 Passing and 88 Dribbling keep him viable as a creator rather than just a runner.

The problem: this is a huge early-game Coin commitment

A 1.2-1.3 million Coin SBC is a major commitment this early in FC 27. Once you submit the required items, that value is locked into an untradeable card rather than something you can sell later.

That makes the opportunity cost just as important as Raphinha's stats. The same club value could otherwise be spread across several positions, kept liquid for market opportunities or saved for later promos.

Is Raphinha POTM worth it?

For most clubs, the answer depends on how much untradeable high-rated fodder you already own. If you would need to buy close to the entire SBC from scratch, the price is difficult to justify unless Raphinha fits your team perfectly and you plan to use him for a long time.

If you already have a large amount of untradeable fodder, use Barcelona or Brazil links, and need a flexible attacker who can play centrally or wide, the calculation becomes much more favourable.

Who should complete the SBC?

• Barcelona, Brazil or LaLiga-focused squads that can make full use of his chemistry links.
• Players with significant untradeable fodder already sitting in the club.
• Players who value positional flexibility and want one attacker to cover ST, CAM and both wings.
• Avoid rushing it purely because of the 89 rating if completing it would empty your club or consume most of your liquid Coins.

Check the live cost before submitting anything

Fodder prices can move quickly when major SBCs arrive. Re-check the live completion estimate before you start and avoid assuming the cost you saw earlier in the day is still accurate.

If you are several squads or a large amount of fodder short, compare that remaining cost with what else your Ultimate Team needs before locking in the SBC.
